Solve, Discuss, Repeat.
The PL Way of Learning
COACHING IS NOT CONTENT
Providing mocks and question bank is not enough. We solve thousands of questions with students in live classes.
VIDEOS ARE NOT TEACHERS
Videos are great for reference but bad for arguments and discussions, which are what our classes are driven by
EVERY STUDENT IS DIFFERENT
Engineering, Arts, Commerce, Law - how can students from all backgrounds have the same preparation path?
CONNECTION MATTERS
We take few students because we invest a lot in student - teacher relationship, in which connection matters a lot.
DO SHORTCUTS WORK?
Maybe for IITians but not for the rest. Fundamentals matter in QA, LRDI and Verbal.
MONEY DOESN'T MATTER
Learning does. For you and us both. Since we have the same goal, we will achieve it.

Is 30 the strength of one batch or the whole institute?
30 is the strength of the whole institute across all batches taught in a year but for this year, the strength has been reduced to 25. We run only 2 batches in a year, one online and one offline. The intake for the online batch this year will be 15 and for the offline batch will be 10.
I am a non-engineer, should I join?
Of course, you should. This course will be more suitable for non-engineers actually because students from non-maths backgrounds usually require closer attention, slower pace of class and separate learning plans. Limited strength will help us achieve all three of those things.
Does that mean this course is not for Engineers?
We won't lie; engineers do have many many more options for them out there, and we do accept that some of them might be better than us depending on the student's level and target. That doesn't mean that PL is not good for engineers. We love to teach them just as much as we do non-engineers. It's just that certain students, specially those from IITs and NITs, might find the pace of the class a little slow because we spend a lot of time on mastering fundamentals. However, if you are an engineer who is not already a pro in quants or somebody who is scared of verbal, PL can be the right place for you.
I have some financial challenges, can you do something to help me?
Sure. Even though our fees rests at the centre of the spectrum (most institutes charge between 60K and 1 Lakh, and teach 500+ students in a year), we understand that there are some students who might find this fees a little unaffordable due to financial constraints.
Hence, for students belonging to EWS or NC-OBC categories, we offer a reduced fees structure. You can click on the 'Fees' button in the menu above and go to the relevant page to see the same. We will, however, require an EWS or NC-OBC certificate as a proof of your claim.
We request everyone else not to negotiate if your are not from poor financial background and understand that while you are just bargaining for the sake of saving some zomato money, someone else actually needs financial assistance. We teach only 30 students in a year and running an institute requires a lot of financial commitment. Kindly understand.
I am ready and up for the challenge. How can I join?
That's fairly easy. Just click the Fees button on the top menu and click on 'Enrol' or fill the form next to this section and click on 'Enquire' to send us your query. You can also drop us a message on WhatsApp or call us to talk to us directly. We can not guarantee you an enrolment automatically like at other institutes because enrolment at PL depends on seat availability. In case the 'Enrol' button is not there, chances are we have got the students already, in which case, we would have to apologise and politely decline your query.
What is the criteria for you to take students?
There is no such criteria. Admissions are strictly on a first come basis. Having said that, once in a while we come across a student who we think might not be benefited by our teaching methodology, in which case, we say no and politely guide the student to some other institute.
What is the PL-30 fully residential offline program?
It's a first of its kind program in the CAT coaching industry. As part of the program 10 students will live with our faculty next to his home in Palampur and prepare not only for the exam, but life in general.
What all things will be taught to students as part of the residential program?
Quants, LR and Verbal will be a part of the curriculum obviously since the primary objective of the program is CAT preparation. But other than that students will be given communication and meditation classes, and those taking a drop year will be taught an additional subject like French, MS Excel or Social Media Marketing for the purpose of skill building.
Who Teaches in PL-30?

Rohit Arora
Rohit is a CAT 99 percentiler, a logophile, a passionate teacher, mentor, friend, and anything his students need him to be. He worked for 7 years in the corporate world as a Project Manager & Consultant before he decided to quit his job to become an educator. He's been a teacher since and has taught at IMS and Unacademy. He started PL because he realized that his way of teaching did not align with the structures created by traditional coaching institutes in the industry. He firmly believes that the best way to master verbal and quants is to argue over each option and discuss every question thoroughly, which large classrooms fail to facilitate. He loves to solve questions and loves to spend time with his students to know them. Over the last few years, many of his students, specially from non-mathematics backgrounds and Hindi or other vernacular medium schools, have gone on to secure seats in IIMs and other top colleges.
